Position Overview: The Mobile Trailer Mechanic is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, door repairs, etc. on dry van trailers in the field at local facilities.

Shift Schedule: Multiple shifts to choose from, including four (4) 10-hour days on Tuesday - Friday! (Additional OT hours are available, ask for more details.)

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance on dry van trailers.
• Trailer PM`s & DOT`s
• Annual FHWA inspections on trailers
• Repair and maintenance on tires, air brakes, wheel seals, light repairs, trailer door repairs, ABS, etc…
• Complete required paperwork and enter data into maintenance software after each job
• Perform assigned tasks in compliance with company policies and procedures

Requirements:

• 2+ years` experience on heavy duty tractors and trailers.
• Basic knowledge of ABS, air brakes, roll and swing doors, electrical, tires, etc…
• High School Diploma/GED, Trade or Vocational Training preferred.
• Proficient in basic computer skills.
• Must have adequate tools to perform tasks required.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position (lifting 100+ lbs., bending, climbing, standing for duration of shift, etc.).
• Driver`s License is required.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check test.
• Effectively read, write, and understand verbal instructions in English.
