We are seeking a self-motivated individual to serve as a full charge bookkeeper. A customer service, team-oriented focus is of utmost importance. Your optimistic outlook, competence, and enthusiasm are required. Must be organized, a multi-tasker, and a problem-solver.

Responsibilities

Candidate will be responsible for all accounting functions such as: AP, AR, general ledger, journal entry, quarterly and end of year closing and tax reporting. Entering and reviewing vendor invoices, account reconciliations, data entry, reconciling employee corporate credit cards. Payroll and payroll reporting, preparation of quarterly Municipal/state tax reports.

Must be a self-starter with the ability to logically think through a project and follow through to completion. Must be able to work closely with all levels of Management and staff as well as alone. Should posses excellent written and oral communication skills and be very detail oriented. Working well under pressure and with a consistent and reliable work attendance are a must.

Familiarity with computers as well as Windows XP, Excel, Word, and Quick Books. Be able to learn and master our internal software that is specific to our industry.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a full charge bookkeeper.
  • Good organizational and multi-tasking abilities
  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Understanding of the retail / wholesale process
  • Familiarity with consumer behavior principles
  • Familiarity with office machines
  • Knowledge of office management and bookkeeping
  • Knowledge of inventory stocking procedures
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Customer service orientation
  • Ability to perform in fast-paced environments.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts.
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to plan, set priorities and organize several work assignments with limited supervision while meeting deadlines.

Work Environment

Most of the work is performed in a professional office setting in a private but open office. Standard work week is 40 hours from 8:30 till 5:00. Full Time.

Pay

Pay: $20.00 + DOE
