“It`s all about life,” is not just our tagline. It`s at the core of what we do. Our guiding principles --- trauma-informed care, harm reduction, person-centered approach and a housing first model --- are the core of how we do it.
Alaska Aids Assistance Association`s (Four A`s) mission is to support and empower people living with or affected by HIV/AIDS and to work toward the elimination of HIV infection and its stigma in all Alaskan communities.
Four A`s is currently recruiting for an Intensive Case Manager (ICM) to proactively support the goals and quality of life of people living with HIV (PLWH) and their families. As an advocate on behalf of PLWH, the ICM serves as the primary point of contact for up to 60 clients, ensuring seamless coordination and communication between healthcare providers, social services, and community organizations. The ICM provides comprehensive education on HIV/AIDS, treatment options, prevention strategies while promoting sexual health and wellness with a status-neutral and evidence-based approach. In addition, the Intensive Case Manager will address social determinants of health by being highly knowledgeable of external services and emergency services (i.e., housing, domestic violence, food pantry) and proactively link PLWH to those resources.
We approach our work with curiosity, compassion and a collaborative, team-focus mindset whether working with individual clients, colleagues or external community partners and providers.
Interested applicants, including those with lived experience of drug use, incarceration, homelessness, and/or sex work; people of color, women, and members of the LGBTQIA+ communities; and people living with HIV/AIDS and/or hepatitis C are strongly encouraged to apply.
