For more information, visit us at .JOB DETAILSBase pay rate is $21.00 - $23.00 per hour1st Shift Hours: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, hours may vary depending on operationsDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESUnderstands and follows safety rules and precautions in a manufacturing environment.Employs a range of crating and packaging resources, including metal bands and protective coverings, to ensure parts are securely fastened and safeguarded during transport.Proficient in operating forklifts and other lifting equipment.Responsible for each lift, deciding when to check actual vs maximum allowable trailer load.Assists with inventory counts as requiredMaintains practices for continuous improvement within the work area.Inspect work visually for defects according to Quality SystemsProvide cost-saving suggestions and ideas to improve productivity and eliminate wasteWilling/able to work overtimeAbility read, write, and follow posted schedulesMay be assigned other projects or tasks by the team leaderHigh School Diploma or equivalent (GED)Valid Driver LicenseA minimum of one year of related work experience in manufacturing or comparable work environmentGood Communication SkillsBasic Computer SkillsForklift experience a plus / Must be trainable on forkliftCrane experience a plus / Must be trainable on craneFlexible with working overtime and weekends when neededAbility to lift up to 30 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waistAbility to work in a non-temperature-controlled environmentSome knowledge of a manufacturing environmentSite Address:4625 Old Seward Hwy Anchorage, AK 99503Why work for Cornerstone Building Brands?Our teams are at the heart of our purpose to positively contribute to the communities where we live, work and play .
