Night Dispatcher – Trucking Operations (On-Site or Remote)

Location: Smyrna, TN / Remote

Specialized Transportation Servicesis seeking a reliable and detail-orientedNight Dispatcherto manage overnight trucking operations. This role is critical to maintaining service performance, driver support, and customer communication.

We are open to both experienced dispatchers and motivated candidates willing to learn trucking operations.

Key Responsibilities for Night Dispatcher

• Dispatch and monitor truckload shipments throughout the night
• Track driver progress and proactively address delays
• Communicate with customers regarding shipment status
• Coordinate with drivers, brokers, and internal staff
• Support billing and administrative freight documentation
• Ensure compliance with company safety and service standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior trucking dispatch, logistics coordination, or fleet management experience
• Familiarity with dispatch software (TMW, McLeod, etc.)
• Experience managing time-sensitive freight
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to stay calm in high-pressure situations
