The Alcohol and Marijuana Control Office (AMCO) are seeking a highly motivated and adaptable employee to join our team. Your primary responsibility will be delivering exceptional, personalized customer service to everyone who walks through our doors or reaches out by phone. Your duties will include guiding applicants through the alcohol permit intake process and efficiently creating marijuana handler permits with accuracy and care. You will play a crucial role in supporting the AMCO team by ensuring permits are processed swiftly, accurately, and with consistent professionalism—directly contributing to safer, well-regulated communities across Alaska.
You'll collaborate with a team of deeply dedicated, hard-working professionals united by a shared mission: enforcing Alaska's alcohol and marijuana regulations to safeguard the health and safety of communities across the state. You will join a friendly, close-knit three-person administrative team based in Anchorage, located on the 16th floor of the State of Alaska's Atwood Building—with a stunning view of the inlet to greet you each day. You'll be just steps away from the park strip for refreshing summer walks and within easy reach of plenty of great lunch spots. And with ample covered parking in the Linny Pacillo garage, you can enjoy winter afternoons without ever having to brush snow off your car.
