Job Summary:
Tryfacta is seeking a Sterile Processing Tech (SPT) for our client in Anchorage, AK 99508. This is a 13-week contract assignment. If you meet the qualifications listed below and are interested, please Apply Now!

Position Title: Sterile Processing Tech (SPT)
Location: Anchorage, AK 99508
Duration: 13 weeks
Work Schedule: Mid 5x8-Hour (14:00 - 22:30)

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform decontamination, cleaning, disinfection, sterilization, assembly, inspection, wrapping, and distribution of surgical instruments and trays.
  • Operate and monitor sterilization equipment, including washers and steam sterilizers, while maintaining required documentation.
  • Reprocess endoscopes, scopes, probes, and other specialty instruments according to manufacturer IFU and infection control standards.
  • Prepare case carts, manage loaner instrumentation, and ensure surgical supplies are available for procedures.
  • Monitor biological and chemical indicators and maintain compliance with quality, safety, and sterile processing standards.
To be considered for this position, you should have: [Skills, Education, or Experience]
  • Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital Sterile Processing Technician experience.
  • Knowledge of decontamination, sterilization, and high-level disinfection (HLD) procedures.
  • Experience with endoscope, scope, and probe reprocessing.
  • Proficiency in processing specialty instrumentation for surgical services such as Orthopedics, Neuro, Robotics, Trauma, ENT, Urology, Plastics, and General Surgery.
  • Experience with steam sterilization, IUSS, and biological/chemical indicator monitoring.
  • Certification such as CBSPD, CSPDT, HSPA (IAHCSMM), or NBSTSA preferred.
  • Experience with Epic or similar electronic documentation systems preferred.
