The Alaska Psychiatric Institute (API) is recruiting for a Psychiatric Nursing Assistant 4.
What you will be doing: This position will demonstrate an understanding of the concept of therapeutic milieu and the flow of how the Nursing Units run and teaches others.
Leads and personally assist patients in becoming self-reliant in daily living activities, such as oral hygiene; preparing for meals, toileting, or preparing for bed.
Demonstrates and directs others in intervening appropriately (non-verbally, verbally and physically) in dealing with patients who may harm themselves or others.
Observe and document patient behavior accurately in an Electronic Health Record (EHR).
Leads staff and patients in maintaining an orderly therapeutic environment.
