Retail Store Management TraineeHourly Pay: $16.00 to $26.47Salary Description: This role is designed for external retail assistant managers and store managers who want to fast‑track into a Store Management position. The role will partner with the Store Manager to analyze store financial statements, commit to the company's asset protection program, promote the business, and target new customer acquisitions.ResponsibilitiesFacilitate a customer‑centric environment by engaging customers friendly and professionally and addressing customer issues promptly.Monitor and assist in training of employees to meet FirstCash standards.Recruit top talent through company channels.Open and close the store, count cash drawers and merchandise, enforce procedures to protect assets.Ensure asset protection via inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.Administer processes and procedures: inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, store systems, enterprise reporting.Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.Ensure operating standards meet or exceed FirstCash standards.Monitor loan qualification and buying processes.Complete assigned training and development tasks.Communicate clearly with employees about store mission and profit objectives.Stay current on product knowledge.Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.Perform other related duties as assigned.Minimum Requirements & QualificationsWilling and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).Demonstrated supervisory ability.Ability to handle firearms and become certified.Able to assist customers outside the building or in exterior storage areas as needed.Minimum age 18.High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.Ability to work at multiple locations as business requires.Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.45+ hours per week (not guaranteed).Computer literate; able to operate POS systems and office machines.Multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.Analytical skills.Cash handling experience required.Work independently with minimal supervision.Excellent work ethic and strong business sense.Commission Plan InformationCommission incentive plan is proprietary. Store Manager Trainees may earn 2–8% commission based on gross profit of their performance.
