Puget Sound Pipe is a premier wholesale distributor of pipe, valves and fittings in the Pacific Northwest & Alaska. We are currently looking for an exceptional individual to join the warehouse team at our Anchorage, AK Branch location. This person would be responsible for safely and accurately receiving and storing materials, processing incoming and outgoing shipments and/or delivering complete and on-time orders to our customers.Hired candidates will be working onsite at the branch location. Hiring immediately!40 hours a weekWork/Life balance in a fun casual work environmentExcellent company benefits (Medical, Prescription, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and 401k)Paid Holidays and Vacation time-offBasic Duties:Receive inbound shipmentsStock shelves and maintain accurate inventoryPick and pack customer orders and inter-branch transfersShip, transport and deliver material and customer orders on time and accuratelySafely operate forklifts or other equipmentPerform all job duties in accordance with OSHA and DOT regulations along with all other applicable internal and external policies, rules, regulations and proceduresLocate material in pipe yard and warehouse for deliveryMust be able to operate a forkliftUse a forklift to load/unload boxes, pallets and pipe onto the truckExperience with box vans or 20+ foot flatbed trucks a plusDesired Experience/Skills:A background in Warehouse operations and logistics, including shipping, receiving, delivery, and inventory management is preferred.Forklift experience and the ability to pass the certification courseBasic math and computer skillsPrior warehouse experienceRF gun experienceAbility to lift heavy material and packagingUnderstanding of the importance of inventory managementBasic understanding of commercial and industrial pipe, valves and fittingsRequirements:HS Diploma or equivalencyPass pre-employment drug screenPass Background CheckMust currently possess and maintain a current and clear driving record#J-18808-Ljbffr
