Specific job responsibilities relevant for this position include:
Knowledge: Basic food service safety and sanitation, National School Lunch Program regulations, basic food preparation, computer input skills, basic office procedures such as phone answering, filing, 10-key adding machine.
Skills (position requirements at entry): Computer input and basic math skills.
Training and Experience (position requirements at entry): High School Diploma or GED. Previous education, training, work or life experiences which provide reasonable evidence of the successful performance of the various tasks listed. Such experience may be evidenced through three (3) to six (6) months of cashiering and/or meal preparatory experience.
Licensing Requirements (position requirements at entry): Valid Alaska driver's license. Must submit an "Alaska Food Worker" card upon hire.

The employee must be able to lift/carry up to 40 pounds, and push/pull with a maximum force of 22 ft/lbs to move objects such as milk crates, cases of prepared, frozen or canned food, portable equipment, etc. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and peripheral vision and color vision.
