(preferred)Work ExperiencePossess work-related experienceDuties/ResponsibilitiesEssential DutiesDevelops and implements effective general ledger transaction monitoring processes and participates in management testing of various internal financial reporting controls in conjunction with internal audit.Manages the core segment of the bank's financial records by ensuring general ledger accounts, including fixed assets and depreciation expenses, projects in process accounts, and supporting software systems are reconciled and strong procedures and internal controls exist and are followed to produce accurate accounting records; work together with Reporting and Tax Unit to ensure efficient and accurate report generating process.Manages the Payments Unit functions including invoice processing and payments, corporate purchasing card accounting and payment actions, government agency remittances including withholdings and related filings, and payments of personal, real property, and sales taxes; manages the General Ledger Unit; maintains a strong reconciliation control environment and adherence to written procedures for account usage and resolution of discrepancies, such as out of balance conditions and errors.Works with bank management to resolve accounting issues; works with internal and external individuals and organizations to resolve billing or payment discrepancies; responds to Internal Revenue Service (IRS) notices and resolves internal procedural and process issues regarding applicable IRS forms and filings.Performs other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor.Supervisory DutiesManages the Accounting and Payments Unit.Carries out supervisory responsibilities following the organization's policies and applicable laws.
