OverviewThe Alaska Native Science & Engineering Program (ANSEP) invites a Summer Program Assistant for the five‑week residential Summer Acceleration Academy on the University of Alaska Anchorage campus. The role will support 9th‑12th‑grade students earning college credits before graduation. The position will begin May 2026 and run through early July 2026.ResponsibilitiesExecute daily administrative tasks and oversee participant support.Monitor student check‑ins, attendance, and supervise students to ensure a safe environment.Prepare and organize materials and maintain supply inventory for program activities.Transport students and staff safely in a 15‑passenger ANSEP van.QualificationsSome college coursework and at least one year of experience related to the program, or equivalent training and experience.Current First Aid/CPR with AED certification preferred.Experience working with Indigenous or rural populations preferred.Minimum of 21 years of age, valid Alaska driver's license, and at least three years of driving experience.Clean driving record and ability to operate a 15‑passenger van.Strong organizational skills, adaptability, and a commitment to student safety and well‑being.BenefitsFull‑time, non‑exempt temporary staff position at Grade 77, paid hourly.
