Details Acute care hospital setting in a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma facility recognized as the best hospital in Alaska MRI unit primarily focused on brain and spine imaging, with additional abdominal and extremity studies; no enterography, prostate, cardiac, or breast imaging performed Extensive work with anesthesia and ICU patients Two MRI machines on-site: Siemens Sola 1.5T and Siemens Free.Max 0.55T 4x10 hour night shifts, 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM Weekend coverage may be more frequent than every other weekend based on staffing needs No on-call requirement No block scheduling available Charting via Epic (experience required) No floating within the unit; however, travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state — refusal to float may result in assignment termination Requirements Minimum of 1 year of MRI technologist experience Active BLS, ARRT(R), and ARRT(MR) certifications required Proficiency with Epic EMR required Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible License required if applicable Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration SSN and DOB required for consideration Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Scrubs are provided by the facility Parking is free Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler All requested time off must be disclosed upfront — RTO is approved on an individual basis and any post-offer requests are subject to denial American Traveler Job ID P-714910.
