Job Description Job Description SUMMARY: GSE Technician IV's are responsible for overseeing all of the ground support equipment maintenance programs and assisting the company meet goals through the provision of services specific to Pegasus. The GSE Technician IV will also maintain, repair, perform maintenance (preventive and on-demand) on aircraft ground support equipment (motorized and non-motorized, gasoline and diesel fueled) if needed. The GSE Technician IV position is a support services position whose work routine is established and follows a set of procedures. It generally functions under close supervisory direction or guidance of the GSE Manager.Primary Responsibilities:Oversee and provide safe and efficient operations for GSE RepairsCoordinates Tech 1,2 and 3 maintenance activities during their respective shiftsProficient at Operating ground service equipment (GSE)Trouble-shoot mechanical problems on GSE and coordinates repairsOperate aircraft de-icing equipment and participate in deicing eventsRepair electric/hydraulic systems and be able to read electrical/hydraulic schematicsTrouble-shoot mechanical problems on GSE and coordinates repairsCoordinates and assists with Emergency repair calls while on dutyDuties include, but not limited to, troubleshooting, tune-up, repair and overhaul of power-plant, drive-train, electric and hydraulic systemsHelps improves the reliability of the equipment through improvements in preventive and predictive maintenance programsUse systems that track/ trend equipment performance to identify and proactively address reliability issues. Ensure their team completes data entry requirements for work completed.Responsible for maintaining safety and security of the GSE work areas at all timesObserve safe ground handling procedures and maintenance of ground handling equipment, including the performance of equipment checksMiscellaneous duties as assigned by Supervisor and ManagerQualifications:Be at least 18 years of agePossess a valid driver's licenseMust be a U.S. citizen or show proof of right to work in the U.S.High School graduate or GED3 years' experience in the Vehicle / Heavy Equipment / GSE / AGE maintenance fieldMust be willing to work in inclement weatherGood communication skillsAbility to lift 60 pounds comfortablyAble to fluently read, write, speak and understand EnglishAbility to work under stressful situations and tight time constraintsMust be a self starter and willing to take the initiativeAble and willing to work without direct supervisionRequired to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying schedulesSuccessfully complete a background investigation, including FBI fingerprints, criminal history and pre-employment drug testMay be required to travel up to 10% of the time to other Pegasus Locations (FAI/HNL/KTN/JNU)Accept all other assigned duties by Manager
