Description:

Position OverviewThe Registrar supports the integrity of membership records and the Scouting America database by reviewing applications, verifying documentation, and entering data accurately. This role requires strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with registration procedures. Additional duties include attending meetings, responding to inquiries, and supporting general office operations. This is an onsite role with no remote work options Salary or Salary Range: $18-$20/hour DOEResponsibilitiesSupport the registration processes for youth and adult membersReview and verify membership applications for completeness, fees, and signaturesMaintain accurate records in the council's registration system in accordance with the Scouting America Registration GuidebookAssist with transfers, renewals, and position changesEnsure compliance with Scouting America's registration policies and internal controls for record retention and document destruction policiesGenerate membership and system reportsProcess cash receipts via the POS system, issue field receipts when needed, and make daily cash depositsReconcile membership batches dailyAssist with incoming mail and provide receptionist coverage during breaks and PTOEducationA high school diploma or a GED is requiredCollege coursework or an associate's degree is preferredQualificationsAbility to handle confidential information responsiblyExperience with data entry or administrative systemsStrong organizational and communication skillsSkillsAbility to work independently and collaborativelyExcellent organizational and multitasking abilitiesProficiency with online database systemsSkilled in Microsoft Excel and WordSelf-motivated and able to plan aheadFriendly and customer-service orientedScouting experience or knowledge is a plusBenefitsAll councils are equal opportunity employers and offer a competitive salary, based on the council's geographic location.
