Compliance Auditor IHiring Range $67,080.00 to $89,433.07Compliance Auditor IIHiring Range $76,793.60 to $102,391.47Summary of Job Responsibilities:The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Compliance Auditor is responsible for supporting the Internal Audit/External Audit (EA/IA) and Monitoring function of the SCF Corporate Compliance department. Under the direction of the Senior Compliance & Internal Audit Manager, the Auditor supports the ongoing implementation, maintenance, and advancement of the organization's Corporate Compliance program. This position is responsible for planning and executing external and internal audits to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations, assessing risks, evaluating controls, reporting findings and recommendations, and monitoring corrective actions. This position involves collaborating with different departments, staying current with regulatory changes, fostering a culture of accountability and may assist with investigations.This position has two (2) levels designed to provide progressively more responsible and independent work experiences. Progression between job levels is based on the demonstrated ability to successfully handle more progressively responsible assignments.Qualifications:SCF programs are established to serve a primary population comprised of Alaska Native people who are affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCF's geographical service area. Employees should have a thorough understanding of the cultures and the needs of this population. Such knowledge is critical to ensure the achievement of SCF's vision of a Native Community that enjoys physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness, and mission of working together with the Native Community to achieve wellness through health and related services:1. Bachelor's degree in business, health, public health, administration, or related field; OR equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.2. Two (2) years of experience in one of the following: healthcare, compliance, privacy, regulatory, legal, audit, quality, review, investigations, or education/training to include a minimum of one (1) year working in an auditing function focused on legal, regulatory, healthcare compliance, revenue cycle OR demonstrated proficiency as a Compliance Analyst II at SCF.Additional Qualifications for Compliance Auditor II:1. Two (2) years' additional experience in auditing, healthcare compliance or demonstrated proficiency as a Compliance Auditor I.2. Obtain a certification in one of the following:* Certified Internal Auditor (CIA),* Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA),* Certified Professional Coder (CPC),* Certified in Health Care Compliance (CHC),* Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA).Native Preference:Under P.L. 93-638, as amended, the company pursues a policy of Native preference in hiring, contracting and training.
