JOB STATEMENT/PURPOSE:
The primary function of the Dishwasher is to assist the restaurant staff with dishwashing support services, clean tables, dining area, and clean up after customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist the kitchen staff as needed
• Clean all dishes, pots, utensils, silverware from the restaurant
• Put away the dishes and all equipment used
• Take out the garbage
• Provide prompt, courteous, and professional service to customers
• Clear away dishes, glassware and utensils after each customer. (Bus Tables)
• Assist wait staff with refilling customers water and beverage glasses
• Sweep and vacuum dining area as needed, maintaining a clean and professional appearance at all times
• Provide excellent customer service – take telephone orders – suggestive selling
• Communicate with other staff regarding needs of customers

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

• Municipal Food Worker Card
• Some experience in customer service helpful but not required
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and constant use of hands, arms, eyes and voice
• Must work as a team player

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow safe and proper procedures in the course of daily work
• Perform opening and closing duties as appropriate
• Arrive on time and demonstrate effective time management
• Other tasks and duties based on the needs of the business
