The Division of Elections is now accepting applications for a temporary Election Clerk 2 in the Absentee and Petitions Office in Anchorage. This is a full-time, temporary role running through mid-November. While this position is not eligible for health insurance or PERS, it does participate in the Alaska Supplemental Annuity Plan (SBS) as an alternative to Social Security contributions. Please note that overtime will be required during the peak election season. What you will be doing:As a Temporary Election Clerk, the incumbent will be responsible for performing a full range of receptionist duties including providing telephone coverage and greeting the public. In addition, this position provides information to the public concerning voter registrations, polling locations, candidates, the absentee voting process, and other related information both orally and in writing.
