What you will be doing:The Long Term Non-Permanent (LTNP) Microbiologist 1 performs analytical testing in the biology section to produce high-quality, legally defensible data that supports laboratory certifications and accreditations. This role operates in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and shifting priorities, requiring strong organizational skills and self-management. Daily activities may include sample preparation, quality checks, analytical testing, peer review, proficiency testing, foodborne illness investigations, SOP and document updates, training, decontamination, mouse husbandry, cleaning, media preparation, data entry and review, and participation in internal and external audits.
