The Division of Elections is now accepting applications for multiple Temporary Election Clerk 2/3 positions in the Anchorage Region 2 Office. These are full-time, temporary roles starting running through mid-November. While these positions are not eligible for health insurance or PERS, they do participate in the Alaska Supplemental Annuity Plan (SBS) as an alternative to Social Security contributions. Please note that overtime will be required during the peak election season. What you will be doing:As a Temporary Election Clerk, the incumbent will be responsible for performing a full range of receptionist duties including providing telephone coverage and greeting the public. In addition, this position provides information to the public concerning voter registrations, polling locations, candidates, the absentee voting process, and other related information both orally and in writing.
