Job Summary The Student Nutrition Business Manager is a strategic role in the oversight and execution of financial, administrative, and operational processes within the Student Nutrition Department. This position is responsible for ensuring fiscal integrity, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency in alignment with district policies and industry best practices. The business manager supervises administrative personnel, leads process improvement initiatives, and assists in the development of strategic financial planning models to optimize resource utilization. This role involves cross-functional collaboration with department leadership, school administrators, external agencies, and vendors to enhance operational performance, budget management, and overall program effectiveness. The position has a retirement association with the Public Employees' Retirement System (PERS).

Physical /Mental Demands The physical demands of this job require frequent standing, walking, sitting, speaking and hearing. Specific visual abilities are also required. The employee is regularly required to reach with his/her hands and arms and occasionally lift items weighing less than 40 lbs. Additionally, the employee must be able to understand vague and implicit instructions, be able to readily recall facts and details, handle conflict and make effective decisions under pressure. The employee must have the ability to effectively manage the stress of working with students, parents, and other employees representing diverse cultures, personalities, and work styles in a dynamic work environment.
