ATTENTION ALASKA RESIDENTS! The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF), Central Region Design & Engineering Services, is looking for an Engineering Assistant 3 to help us Keep Alaska Moving! What you will be doing:In this position, you will work under the direction of a registered professional engineer performing a variety of engineering duties, such as applying accepted and standard engineering practices associated with the location, design and construction of highway, traffic and other civil engineering projects. You will be a member of a team tasked with developing designs and bid-ready documents for highway-related transportation projects ranging in complexity. You will have the opportunity to travel to projects within southcentral Alaska and may be required to occasionally travel to remote communities in small aircraft.
