Position OverviewSupervisor, HCBS Assessor provides leadership and oversight for staff conducting in-home assessments for individuals with developmental disabilities participating in the New Mexico Mi Via Waiver program.This role combines field-based assessment responsibilities with operational supervision, ensuring high-quality assessments, compliance with program requirements, and effective team performance.BenefitsMedical, dental and vision insurancePaid time off for vacation, illness, and volunteeringRetirement savings plan with employer contributionAdoption financial assistancePaid parental leaveAnd much more!Key ResponsibilitiesSupervision & LeadershipProvide operational supervision for HCBS assessor staff conducting in-home assessments.Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management in collaboration with leadership and HR.Deliver ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations.Ensure staff have the tools, resources, and guidance needed to perform effectively.Assessment & Program OversightConduct face-to-face assessments with participants to determine eligibility for the Mi Via Waiver program.Utilize tools such as the Vineland Adaptive Behavior Assessment to evaluate functional domains.Coordinate and schedule assessments with participants and caregivers.Document assessment results accurately within required timelines.Quality & ComplianceEnsure compliance with Medicaid policies, program requirements, and documentation standards.Participate in quality management and continuous improvement initiatives.Provide recommendations and insights to clinical reviewers.Collaboration & CommunicationWork closely with internal teams, clinical reviewers, and external partners.Participate in regular team meetings and case consultations.Support training and development of new and existing staff.Required QualificationsEducationAssociate degree (AA/AS) in social work, psychology, behavioral health, nursing, or a related fieldEquivalent combination of education and experience may be consideredExperience2+ years of experience in social services, nursing, or related field1 year of supervisory or lead experience preferredPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in a related fieldLicensure in a mental health or related disciplineExperience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)Experience with Medicaid programs and policiesExperience with Vineland assessment tools or similarSkills and CompetenciesStrong leadership and decision-making skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication abilitiesAbility to assess adaptive functioning and document findings accuratelyKnowledge of HIPAA and confidentiality practicesExperience with electronic health record (EHR) systemsStrong organizational and time management skillsAdditional RequirementsAbility to work in a field-based environment, including in-home visitsFrequent travel required within New MexicoValid driver's license, reliable transportation, and good driving recordEqual Opportunity EmployerComagine Health is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.
