We're seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) or experienced Veterinary Technician to join our Internal Medicine and Surgery teams in a hybrid specialty role.About the Role:As a member of our Internal Medicine and Surgery team, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care across both services. This is a dynamic, cross-functional position where you'll support a wide range of complex cases depending on hospital needs. This is an ideal position if you are interested in growing your specialty technician skillset!Your responsibilities will include:Provide surgical and nursing care in alignment with doctor's ordersAssist with internal medicine and surgical consultations, procedures, and diagnosticsPerform diagnostic sample collection, in-house lab work, and accurate medical calculationsPlace and manage IV catheters; monitor anesthesia and track vital signsAssist with digital radiography and advanced imaging as neededSupport patient care from intake through recovery, ensuring comfort and close monitoringCommunicate clearly with clients, providing education and timely updatesCollaborate closely with doctors and the care team to deliver organized, high-quality careWhat You BringAt least 1 year of veterinary technician experience (internal medicine and/or surgery experience preferred)Credentialed Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT) preferred, not requiredAbility to stay organized, detail-oriented, and calm in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills and a collaborative, team-first mindsetFlexibility to adapt between internal medicine and surgery workflows as neededWillingness to work varied shifts, including evenings or weekendsSchedule & PayFull-time, 36-40 hours per weekvarious schedules available, apply to learn more!$23-$33/hr, commensurate with experienceSign-on or relocation bonus available!Why You'll Love Working HereAt PET AK, you'll join a collaborative, supportive team that values skill, empathy, and growth.
