Performs all munitions operations duties covering all major work stations in the total work cycle, applying well rounded journeyman through craftsman knowledge's and skills relating to a variety of munitions support operations.
Loads, repacks, unloads, stacks, palletizes, issues, bands, inspects, reconfigures, counts, documents, and stores ammunition and explosive material into storage areas, IAW SOPs, TMs, DOD regulations, drawings, and safety standards.
Performs warehousing and re-warehousing of ammunition and explosive material.
Processes, handles, and stores materials and equipment, logs, receipt, storage, and shipment data; and uses manual or mechanized equipment to move, stack, bin, and position materials and equipment.
Inspects individual munitions items and related material (components, packaging, and safety restraints) for specific signs of deterioration, defects, contamination, discrepancies, improper markings, malfunction, leakage, etc.
Secures freight and equipment, that is heavy, unbalance, fragile, and hazardous to withstand severe stress such as that which results from storm-caused tossing at sea and similar cargo
Operates material handling equipment in performance of duties using forklifts rated to a lifting capacity greater than 10,000lbs that can extend to 168" and weigh up to 40,000lbs.
