Job Title: Java developer

Location: Jackson, MS (Onsite from Day 1)

Position Type: W2/C2C

Technical Skills:

• Java 5 - 15 years' experience (ideally looking for a senior level Java developer)
• Spring
• RESTful API services
• ORM development (Object Relational Mapping)
• Java 8
• Microservices
• SQL
• Servlet Containers
• Patterns and methodologies
• Javascript
• A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field is required and combined related experience as follows:
• A Bachelor's degree and 5 years' experience in SDLC in object oriented programming environment, and 2 years concurrent experience with Java, JSP, SQL, HTML, JavaScript, JDBC, XML, J2EE, WebSphere/Weblogic, Apache/Tomcat, STRUTS, and design patterns.

OR

• A Master's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related IT field, and 2 years experience in SDLC in object oriented programming environment, and 2 years' concurrent experience with Java, JSP, SQL, HTML, JavaScript, JDBC, XML, J2EE, WebSphere/Weblogic, Apache/Tomcat, STRUTS, and design patterns.

Responsibilities:

• The Web Developer II is responsible for developing new Web applications and enhancing existing web applications that promote effective information transfer between BCBSMS business systems.
• The Web Developer II is also responsible for identifying and implementing methods of preventing technical problems that could cause disruption to business activities and performing systems and business function analysis in support of business areas
