IT Operations Coordinator

Position Purpose:

Requirements for a proven IT Project Coordinator will be to administer and organize all types of projects, from simple activities to more complex plans. IT Project Coordinator's responsibilities include working closely with our IT Operations Team to preparecomprehensive action plans, including resources, timeframes, and budgets for projects. Perform various coordinating tasks, like schedule and risk management, along with administrative duties, like maintaining project documentation and handling financial queries. To succeed in this role, the candidate should have excellent time management and communication skills, as they will collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver results on deadlines. Ultimately, the IT Project Coordinators duties are to ensure that all IT Operations projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet high-quality standards.

Essential Duties:

  • Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment, and information
  • Break projects into doable actions and set timeframes
  • Liaise with clients to identify and define requirements, scope, and objectives
  • Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management
  • Make sure that clients needs are met as projects evolve
  • Help prepare budgets
  • Analyze risks and opportunities
  • Oversee project procurement management
  • Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise
  • Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants
  • Work with the Project Manager to eliminate blockers
  • Use tools to monitor working hours, plans, and expenditures
  • Issue all appropriate legal paperwork (e.g., contracts and terms of the agreement)
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and report
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to handle a wide variety of tasks with minimal supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a wide variety of people including technology vendors
  • Detail-orienteded with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to access issues and resolve them independently
  • Strong knowledge of PMIs Project Management processes
  • Capable of managing multiple projects
  • Ability to manage all phases of the project life cycle
  • Strong, proven documentation skills in project management
  • Excellent team leadership skills
  • Ability to manage projects with large annual budgets
  • Must be able to effectively operate Windows-based computer and navigate Microsoft Office Suite
Requirements:
  • Must sign the Statement of Faith
  • Must have a personal relationship with Jesus
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Charis Bible College student or graduate is preferred
  • PMI certifications preferred or ability to obtain within 1-year
  • Must pass a background check
Experience:
  • Experience successfully managing and working with people with wide-ranging personalities
  • IT technical background in areas of support and project management a plus
  • Compensation is commensurate with experience
