Description - What You'll Do
- Conduct a variety of clinical laboratory tests-including chemistry, hematology, and immunology-following established procedures to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Evaluate test outcomes, resolve issues as they arise, and perform routine maintenance and calibration on laboratory equipment.
- Support specimen collection and prepare samples for further analysis when necessary.
- Maintain meticulous documentation of all laboratory activities, train new team members or students, and uphold high-quality standards in the lab.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment while adhering to all regulatory requirements and safety protocols.
- Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree, along with ASCP/AMT certification preparation.
- ASCP or AMT certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) within one year of hire is required.
- Commitment to maintaining current certification throughout your employment is necessary.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that facilitate collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Adept at exercising independent judgment and problem-solving skills in fast-paced or challenging situations.
