13-week travel Inpatient Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) role in Anchorage, AK - inpatient rehabilitation; Alaska SLP license (pending accepted) and BLS required. Join a travel SLP opportunity serving adult and geriatric patients with neurological and orthopedic conditions.

  • Setting: Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital (includes LTACH/ICU and Rehab Units) - acute rehab / inpatient rehabilitation
  • Assignment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Speech-Language Pathologist)
  • Start Date: April 13, 2026
  • End Date: July 13, 2026
  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Schedule: 5x8-hour day shifts (08:00 - 16:30), 40 hours per week
  • Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours per 2 weeks (may be called off for 1, 8-hour shift per 2 weeks)
  • Weekend Requirement: Approximately 2 weekend days per month
  • Charting: Epic experience preferred - Epic charting / electronic medical record
  • Scrub Color: Any
  • Parking: Free on-site parking
  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,060 - $2,210 (competitive travel SLP pay)
Job Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist / speech therapist in acute rehab or acute care settings
  • Valid Alaska SLP license (pending license accepted; preference for license in hand) - Alaska SLP jobs
  • BLS certification required
  • Experience with Epic charting preferred
  • Must live at least 50 miles from facility (no local candidates)
  • Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
  • Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive speech, language, cognitive-communication, and dysphagia evaluations and evidence-based therapy to adult and geriatric patients
  • Manage caseloads including patients with stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, neurological disorders, orthopedic conditions, and amputations
  • Conduct and interpret Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) and Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) - dysphagia management specialists encouraged to apply
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans; document progress and outcomes using Epic
  • Deliver dysphagia management, swallow therapy, voice therapy, and cognitive-communication interventions
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on communication and swallowing strategies and safe diet recommendations
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (PT, OT, nursing, physicians, case management) to optimize patient outcomes
  • Participate in facility modules, in-service training, and continuing education as required
