Travel Nursing Job Details

• Job Title: Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Assignment
• Location: Anchorage, Alaska (99508) - Alaska nursing jobs
• Assignment Type: Travel Contract
• Start Date: November 17, 2025
• End Date: February 15, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm (8-hour day shifts)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2500 - $2600
• On-Call/Weekend: Rotational call coverage (2 weekends per 12-week rotation; 4-5 weekday calls/month as 2nd RN)
• Territory: Anchorage area, covering up to 40 miles north and south
• Caseload: Manage 12-15 hospice patients
• EMR System: HCHB (Homecare Homebase)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alaska or compact state - required for Alaska RN jobs
• Minimum 1 year of home hospice nursing experience
• Experience with both adult and pediatric hospice patients preferred
• Proficiency with HCHB (Homecare Homebase) EMR preferred
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team

Hospice Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hospice care to adult and pediatric patients in home settings throughout Anchorage, Alaska
• Manage a caseload of 12-15 hospice patients, ensuring timely and high-quality clinical support
• Participate in rotational on-call coverage for weekdays and weekends
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Document patient care and assessments accurately using HCHB EMR
• Educate patients and families on hospice services, symptom management, and end-of-life care
• Travel within the Anchorage area (up to 40 miles) to deliver in-home nursing care
