Job Description
Title
Inpatient Rehab Speech-Language Pathologist

Schedule
- Shift: 5x8 days (40 hrs/week)
- Weekend expectation: Approximately 2 weekend days per month

Assignment Details
- Guaranteed hours: 72 hours per 2 weeks (may be called off for one 8-hr shift per 2 weeks)

Requirements
- Minimum experience: 1 year
- Required certifications/licenses: BLS; Alaska SLP license preferred (pending license accepted)
- Clinical focus areas: Inpatient rehab SLP care including dysphagia evaluation/management, trach/vent management, cognitive-communication, AAC/augmentative devices, discharge planning and family education.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and provide speech and language therapy to patients in an inpatient rehab setting.
- Implement customized treatment plans to improve communication and swallowing functions.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient recovery.
- Educate patients and families on care strategies and communication techniques.
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
