Imaging Associates LLC Locations: Anchorage, Eagle River, and Palmer, Alaska Department: Business Intelligence Reports to: Director of Business Intelligence Position Type: Full Time, Exempt Schedule: 40+ hours per week, Monday through Friday. Hybrid schedule may be available with manager approval.

Imaging Associates is a physician owned diagnostic imaging organization serving communities across Southcentral Alaska. We are committed to innovation, quality patient care, and using data driven solutions to improve clinical and operational outcomes. As we expand our use of AI and advanced analytics, we are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to support and scale these initiatives.

The Data Engineer Ai Integration plays a key role in Imaging Associates' AI rollout and data driven strategy. This position focuses on designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and AI integrations that support automation, analytics, and reporting across the organization. The role is hands on and highly collaborative, working closely with the Director of Business Intelligence, Director of IT, clinical and operational leaders, and third party AI vendors in a regulated healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and integrations, including connections with Tableau for analytics and visualization
  • Partner with third party AI vendors to integrate AI models and automation tools into existing systems
  • Implement, maintain, and optimize AI driven platforms to ensure performance, security, and reliability
  • Collaborate with IT, Business Intelligence, and operational leaders to translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards, reports, and metrics to support data driven decision making
  • Monitor data quality, system health, and performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare data standards, including HIPAA and PHI requirements
  • Create technical documentation for data architecture, integrations, and maintenance processes
  • Present technical insights, trends, and performance metrics to senior leadership
  • Support vendor coordination, delivery timelines, and escalation of technical risks
  • Stay current with emerging data engineering and AI technologies and recommend continuous improvements

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong experience building and maintaining data pipelines using Python, SQL, and ETL frameworks such as Apache Airflow or Talend
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Advanced Tableau skills including dashboard development, data modeling, and source integrations
  • Experience integrating AI or machine learning tools into production environments
  • Ability to collaborate across technical and non technical teams and translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills
  • Familiarity with healthcare data workflows and compliance requirements
  • Experience with version control tools such as Git and CI/CD practices
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Three or more years of experience in data engineering, AI integration, or platform development
  • Experience with AI or machine learning deployment and Tableau integrations
  • Healthcare or regulated industry experience strongly preferred
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Data Engineer, Google Professional Data Engineer, or Tableau Certified Data Analyst are a plus

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

  • Primarily office based with prolonged periods of sitting and computer use
  • Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds
  • May be exposed to imaging equipment noise or cold weather during facility visits
