Your Role:

As an Animal Care Associate, you will be the vital resource for ensuring high standards of care and maintenance for all companion animals and aquatic life in our Pet Care Centers. Your contributions will not only help achieve our sales and operational goals but also enhance the experience of our guests and their pets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Showcase your passion for animal welfare through exceptional care for all animals in the PCC.
• Conduct regular health checks and ensure all care protocols are followed.
• Create positive guest interactions by providing informative support during purchases.
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory and merchandising strategies.
• Stay up to date with company training programs to share knowledge about animal care with other team members.
• Promote a culture of teamwork and positive collaboration.
• Maintain a clean and professional environment, ensuring all areas of the PCC are tidy and well-presented.
• Document and handle all adoption and relinquished animals properly.
• Support safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for everyone in the Pet Care Center.
• Perform additional duties and projects as required, contributing to the overall success of the team.

Qualifications:

Applicants should have a minimum of one year of experience working with companion animals and aquatic life, along with strong interpersonal and communication skills. A keen interest in animal care and a professional demeanor are vital for success in this role. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with proficiency in basic math and accounting.

Work Environment:

Most of your duties will be performed indoors, though you may occasionally need to assist with guest carryouts and visits outside of the center. This role requires physical activity, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods. Flexibility with work schedules, including evenings and weekends, is necessary.
