Our client is looking to add an Actuarial Associate to a growing health team. Job can be remote or can work out of 2 offices in the Southwest of the US.

Job will entail:
Manage the accurate delivery of financial analyses on various actuarial projects including but not limited to projections, contribution setting, IBNR development, etc. Assist with strategy development for medical, pharmacy, dental, life and disability programs. Create deliverables, provide direction to other colleagues on the team. Mentor junior team members
Research industry, regulatory, and legislative trends for calculating risk, liability, and cost for customer or government reports
Add value by implementing creative solutions for customers.

Ideal candidate will have:
At least 2 years of relevant H&B and actuarial work is required. Ideally looking for candidates coming out of consulting firm environments. Sweet spot is 2 to 4 years of experience along with 3-5 actuarial exams passed and working towards ASA credentials. Advanced knowledge of employee benefit underwriting. Thorough understanding of complex benefit concepts such as health care management, flexible benefits and alternative funding. Superior analytical and mathematical skills, strong command of Excel Strong strategic planning skills. Excellent interpersonal skills, strong oral and written communication skills
