Recruiting for a Village Public Safety Officer (VPSO): Full-time (37.5 hours per week) position is in Adak, Alaska, a remote community located on the Aleutian Chain. Job duties include but are not limited to law enforcement, community policing, fire safety/ prevention/ and suppression, emergency medical, and search and rescue. Applicants must pass a pre-employment physical fitness test, criminal background check, medical examination, and complete the 8 week VPSO Basic Training, 2-week Rural Fire Protection Specialist certification course, and a 1 week ETT certification course, in Sitka, AK. Salary Range: $70,765.00 - $81,315.00 DOE + benefits, including housing assistance.
