ABOUT ASSETS PROTECTION

Our Assets Protection (AP) teams are dedicated to ensuring the safety of our guests, team members, and brand integrity during crises. We protect our sales by combating theft and fraud, ensuring that products remain available for our guests while fostering relationships with store leaders and law enforcement.

We Offer Skills and Experiences Such As:

• Utilizing intelligence-led tactics to ensure safety for all.
• Experience in crisis management and crowd control, supporting both guests and fellow team members.
• Skills in de-escalation strategies and physical security best practices.
• Experience with Target's video surveillance system.
• Documenting incidents accurately and promptly using case management systems.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Creating a welcoming environment by greeting guests at the store entrance.
• Enhancing our team's culture of safety by maintaining secure practices throughout the store.
• Responding to and documenting security incidents quickly and accurately.
• Addressing guest concerns to maintain a safe and secure environment.
• Employing de-escalation techniques during security incidents as needed.
• Conducting theft recoveries and supporting apprehensions following AP policies.
• Performing merchandise receipt checks to prevent theft and loss.
• Submitting documentation for incidents in compliance with AP policies.
• Using video surveillance for security monitoring as required.
• Exemplifying ethics, safety, and compliance in all actions.
• Complying with safety procedures and reporting hazards effectively.
• Performing other duties as necessary.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must meet state or local licensure requirements.
• Possess a welcoming and supportive attitude towards guests and team members.
• Effective communication skills; ability to use various communication devices and technology.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Strong task management and prioritization skills.
• Maintain focus and composure in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Requirements:

• Climb ladders as necessary.
• Apprehend individuals as per company policy.
• Efficiently handle and transport merchandise, including lifting items up to 40 pounds.
• Maintain a flexible work schedule, with reliable attendance essential.
• Be capable of adjusting to various temperatures and environments as needed.
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of the shift.
