Accounting Manager - Growth Stage Fintech Company

Who We're Looking For:
You are a hands-on, technically strong Accounting Manager who has "been there, done that". You thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and are comfortable rolling up your sleeves while also building scalable processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Own all accounting operations: general ledger, month-end close, technical accounting, revenue recognition (ASC 606), financial reporting, and consolidations.
• Manage and accelerate the monthly/quarterly close process (target: 5-8 business days)
• Prepare or oversee GAAP financial statements, footnotes, flux analyses, and board/investor packages.
• Lead technical accounting memos and policy documentation for new products/features.
• Partner closely with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and KPIs (ARR, gross margin, take rate, loss rates, unit economics).
• Support fundraising (due diligence, financial models, data room) and M&A diligence if applicable.

• CPA strongly preferred (active license a bonus).
• 5 - 10 years of relevant experience
• NetSuite user (or similar mid-market ERP); experience leading an implementation is a major plus.
• Extreme attention to detail combined with the ability to zoom out and prioritize.
• Excellent communication skills-you can explain complex accounting topics to non-finance executives and investors.

• Prior experience at high-growth fintechs
• Experience with banking partnerships
• Exposure to regulatory exams or licensing
• Startup equity experience (409A valuations, option modeling).
