Pull materials from the Automated Handling bins, sort, and, shelve them in order. Check out and check in library materials to and from patrons. Shift materials as needed. Shelf read to ensure proper order. Assist public in use of automated handling and self-check machines. Register library patrons for library cards. Aid customers with the use of library website and catalog. Direct customers to the location of library materials. Maintain library order, straightening shelves, refilling displays, checking computers and other equipment. Establish and maintain effective relations with coworkers and the public; Treat everyone with honesty, respect, and fairness. Assist in Anchorage Public Library's (APL) diversity and inclusiveness efforts. Ensure excellent customer service and a positive user experience while being an efficient member of the team.
