We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Warranty Specialist to oversee homeowner
support and service during the 1-year warranty period after move-in. This role combines strong
communication and customer service skills with practical field experience. The Warranty
Specialist will manage warranty claims, perform light repair work, and coordinate with vendors
and trade partners to ensure homeowner satisfaction and uphold Berg's commitment to quality.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners during the 1-year warranty period.
• Manage and track all warranty service requests through a dedicated system or portal.
• Perform a wide range of handyman and maintenance tasks as a skilled trades
professional.
• Schedule and conduct warranty inspections, including 30-day and 11-month
walkthroughs.
• Evaluate reported issues to determine warranty coverage versus homeowner
maintenance.
• Communicate clearly with homeowners about timelines, next steps, and expectations.
• Coordinate repairs with trade partners, vendors, and internal staff as needed.
• Follow up on open work orders to ensure timely and high-quality completion.
• Maintain detailed records of service requests, resolutions, and completion dates.
• Track and report warranty trends to inform process and product improvements.
• Support project managers by providing field feedback on product performance.
• Ensure all service work aligns with builder standards, manufacturer warranties, and
contract terms.
• Provide homeowners with maintenance guidance, warranty documentation, and end-ofwarranty
reminders.
Qualifications:
• 3-5 years of residential construction or warranty service experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of general home systems, finishes, and maintenance practices.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Customer-focused mindset with a professional, courteous demeanor.
• Ability to perform light carpentry, drywall, painting, and minor repair tasks.
• Proficiency with computers and mobile applications for tracking service requests.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
