JL Hospitality Management, LLC is seeking an experienced, people-first General Manager to lead the Courtyard Anchorage Airport, one of Anchorage's premier select-service hotels. This role offers the opportunity to take full ownership of hotel performance while leading a dedicated team within a fast-growing, award-winning hospitality management company.
The General Manager is responsible for the overall success of the hotel, including operations, financial performance, guest satisfaction, and associate engagement. We are looking for a visible, hands-on leader who thrives in a high-accountability environment, leads with integrity, and is passionate about delivering "best in brand" service.
Key responsibilities include:
Candidates currently living in Alaska or with confirmed relocation plans are strongly preferred.
Proven experience as a general manager or assistant general manager in a Marriott select-service hotel (Courtyard experience strongly preferred)
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, drive accountability, and foster a positive, high-engagement culture
Strong operational knowledge across all hotel departments
Solid understanding of hotel financials, including P&L management, labor controls, and budgeting
Experience driving guest satisfaction, brand compliance, and quality assurance results
Proficiency with hotel systems and technology; FOSSE experience preferred
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving ability with a hands-on, solutions-oriented mindset
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required in a 24/7 operation
College degree preferred but not required; equivalent hospitality leadership experience will be considered
