Job Summary
The Scrum Master is accountable for all aspects of a diverse, complex information technology project or large-scale IT projects. Serves as a team coach, and facilitator of Agile practices ensuring fast product development through transparency, inspection, and adaptation. Providesproject management coordination, support, and assistance in all aspects of IT product development.
Job Responsibilities

1. SAFe Agile Scrum Master
2. Fluent in hybrid methods (SAFe Scrum Master and PMP). Most teams have traditional waterfall experience - the Scrum Master needs to be able to 'translate' waterfall to Agile/SAFe.
3. Strong technical background to assist Tech Leads and Product Owners that have predominantly business domain expertise and limted development backgrounds .
4. SM who has some Product Owner background with strong facilitation experience
5. Coach, mentor, and facilitate the team members' adoption of an Agile mindset, including ownership, self-management and empowerment.
6. Manage and facilitate the scrum team's daily work including execution of Sprint Ceremonies (e.g., Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-up, Sprint Review and Retrospective)
7. Capturing and tracking sprint metrics (e.g., team velocity), and being accountable for the continuous improvement of the scrum team
8. Create a collaborative environment which allows the team and stakeholders to interact closely.
9. Identifying and removing impediments to allow the team to focus on development.
10. Help the team identify its strengths and weaknesses.
11. Motivating and acting as the glue that holds the team together.
12. Occasionally assist other teams and more junior Scrum Masters in the same portfolio
13. Help craft and maintain team level reporting, collaborating with other Scrum Masters and Project Managers.
14. Contribute to Scrum of Scrums (SoS), Scrum Master Community of Practice (SM CoP), and similar forums for developing and peer coaching best practices.
15. Act as power user of product development technology such as Azure DevOps or Jira, and coach more junior Scrum Masters on optimal use of tools.
16. Apply working knowledge of waterfall/traditional project management practices to integrate waterfall teams and venders into the Agile portfolio, and encourage their steady transition into adopting Agile practices
17. Help coordinate vender and system integrator portions of implementation,
18. Over time, develop deep functional knowledge of their teams' domain areas, including role appropriate understanding of the business, technical, and regulatory operating environment.
19. Perform Team and Portfolio level Delivery and Release Planning, and capacity and velocity projections.
20. Identifies, monitors, and coordinates interdependencies across multiple products/projects.
21. Oversee the design, development, and implementation of work plans to determine the required tasks and resources.
22. Create schedules, project estimates, resource plans and status reports.
23. Support the portfolio management decision process through the creation of project charters, scope documents, risk assessments, and budgets (including both capital, expense, and O&M tails for projects)
24. Delivery and Monitoring:
25. Lead medium to large scale IT projects for a business unit within time, budget, and specification constraints.
26. Provides strategic direction of critical path milestones within project plans.
27. Monitors and communicate status to leadership. Communicate and incorporate feedback from customers.
28. Risk Identification, Action Planning, and Analysis:
29. Conduct business impact analysis both inside and outside the company and review findings with management of the critical business functions.
30. Develop, implement, and administer standards and procedures for recovery planning, security planning and documentation.
31. Ensure the effectiveness of recovery and backup capabilities

1. Bachelor's degree, and 3 years of related work experience OR 4 years of related work experience
2. Certified SAFe Scrum Master
3. Strong track record of on-time, on-budget, and to-specification delivery of projects
4. Ability to effectively execute an agile project.
5. Ability to manage relationships with internal business customers.
6. Proven experience leading and coaching teams in a complex or highly regulated environment

1. Certified SAFe ASM or RTE
2. PMP certification or experience: 1 year+ experience working as, or closely with, traditional project management.
3. Hybrid SM with PMP experience.
4. ADO (Azure DevOps) expertise
5. Technical analyst or development expertise
6. Experience leading teams though transition from traditional project management into Agile
