Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Service Advisors to evaluate vehicle damage before repairs.
  • Perform cosmetic repairs and restore vehicles to original specifications using specialized equipment.
  • Identify all necessary repairs to reduce time spent on supplementary work.
  • Plan and execute work procedures as outlined in work orders.
  • Disassemble interior and exterior vehicle components to access damaged areas, ensuring careful storage of parts.
  • Repair body and fenders by hammering or welding, meeting industry standards for fit and finish.
  • Operate various hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Finalize surface repairs by sanding before handing over to the Paint Department.
  • Test drive repaired vehicles to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and guidelines set by Classic Collision.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to maintain an efficient repair process.

Skills & Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Body Technician.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance team setting.
  • Adaptable to a constantly evolving work environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Customer-focused with strong organizational skills.
  • High energy, persistence, and product knowledge.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • Friendly and personable approach to customer service.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Frequent standing, walking, and use of hands.
  • Occasional sitting and lifting/pushing weights up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, or crawl as needed.
  • Effective communication and interaction with team members.
