We're looking for a full-time, friendly dental assistant for our office. Your primary job will be to assist our dentists in serving our patients to ensure they leave our practice with a smile. Additional dental assisting responsibilities include preparing the work area and equipment for exams or procedures, as well as administrative duties like obtaining dental records and scheduling appointments. Responsibilities: • Give patients advice on a good oral health care regime so they can maintain a healthy smile • Tell patients what oral hygiene steps they need to take in order to prevent infection after dental procedures • Record each patients treatment information during their visit and ensure dental records have the most current information • Work with dentists and dental hygienists during examinations and procedures by assisting with dental instruments and assure the patients' mouths are comfortable, dry, and accessible to the dentist • Ensure the patient area is ready for exams and procedures by prepping equipment like x-ray machines, anesthetics, and impression materials and cleaning and laying out dental instruments • Help with administrative duties such as welcoming patients, making appointments for dental visits, creating and presenting treatment plans, and ordering supplies. Qualifications: • Ability to provide superb patient care and customer service • Applicants should have basic data entry and computer skills • Excellent multitasking, interpersonal, and communication skills • Candidates must have graduated from an accredited dental assistance program with an associate's degree • Coronal polished certified preferred. • Experience taking X-rays preferred. Compensation: $17 - $30 hourly
