The Department of Family and Community Services, Office of Children's Services (OCS) is recruiting for full-time Office Assistant 3 located in Anchorage, Alaska. What you will be doing This position is the lead Office Assistant providing a full range of administrative support to the Anchorage management team and plays a vital role in the workflow of the office through management and oversight of multiple Outlook calendars and schedules, as well as office organization and inventory management. This position directly supports the regional management team through assistance with scheduling and coordinating of large employee meetings and events, taking notes for management and leadership meetings, and developing and coordinating new employee orientation. Special note All positions require a successful completion of a background investigation, including fingerprinting and a criminal records check. Additionally, while the Division does have vehicles assigned to it, they may not always be available for staff use. Mileage reimbursement is available when a personal vehicle is used for work-related matters. Current automotive insurance must be in place prior to use of a personal vehicle while conducting business on behalf of the State. High school diploma or the equivalent AND one year of experience that includes clerical tasks such as greeting clients, answering phones, typing, filing, sorting mail, entering data, receiving payments, making change, or maintaining logs. Substitution: Education from an accredited college may substitute for the required experience (3 semester hours or 4 quarter hours equal one month of experience; 150 hours of vocation education equal one month of experience).
