We are looking for dependable and efficient individuals to support our housekeeping operations by ensuring laundry is processed, folded, and distributed on time. Laundry Attendant

Position Purpose:

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for cleaning, processing, folding, and organizing hotel linens to ensure a steady supply is available for guest rooms and housekeeping operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize clean linens for housekeeping use
  • Maintain laundry equipment, reporting needed repairs or issues quickly
  • Keep laundry area clean, stocked, and safe throughout the shift
  • Assist with linen inventory levels and notify leadership when supply needs emerge
  • Transport, stack, and move linen carts or laundry loads as needed
  • Respond to guest or team requests when encountered during daily workflow

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.

  • Keep work area neat and organized
  • Respond to guest requests.
  • Report all mechanical problems and hazardous conditions to supervisor, manager or Security Department

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Ability arrive to work on time and when scheduled.
  • Ability to stand on feet up to 7 hours a day and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to operate washer and dryer equipment.
  • Physically able to move / lift, large, heavy objects such as: linen, linen carts and/or bags of linen Physically able to operate cleaning equipment such as: brooms, spray bottles
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and associates verbally or in written form, over the phone or in person.
  • Ability to learn, follow and enforce standards for cleanliness as they apply to the laundry area.
  • Ability to follow all safety procedures/standards and able to recognize and act in emergency situations.


NOTICE:

The hospitality business functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four hours a day. In addition, this is a hospitality business and a hospitable service atmosphere must be projected at all times.
