Position Summary:
The Logistic Support Technician supports the Environmental Services (EVS) department by managing the ordering, storage, and delivery of cleaning supplies, PPE, equipment, and other operational materials. This role acts as the liaison between EVS and vendors/warehouse ensuring timely restocking of janitor closets, supply rooms, and carts across all clinical areas. The position plays a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, preventing supply shortages, and supporting the operational readiness of EVS staff.
Position Responsibilities:
Receive and stage EVS supplies from warehouse deliveries or external vendors.
Routinely distribute supplies to janitor closets, carts, and satellite storage locations.
Track inventory levels and coordinate with leadership to re-order supplies as needed.
Organize and maintain supply storage areas to meet hospital safety and cleanliness standards.
Assemble and restock new employee carts or floor equipment as needed.
Coordinate special requests for non-standard items or emergency deliveries.
Assist with return, exchange, or disposal of expired or damaged items.
Maintain usage logs, inventory checklists, and restock forms for documentation and audits.
Communicate supply-related issues or shortages to supervisors and recommend process improvements.
KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS
Knowledge of basic custodial or facilities operations.
Ability to learn and follow safety procedures for materials handling and equipment operation.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with team members.
Physically capable of lifting supplies and performing repetitive motion tasks.
Skill in driving large vehicles.
MINIMUM EDUCATION QUALIFICATION
High School Diploma or GED
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION
Non - supervisory -two (2) years of work experience.
MINIMUM CERTIFICATION QUALIFICATION
Must possess and maintain a valid State of Alaska Driver's License.
Within 90 days of the hire date, must possess Defensive Driving and Safety Certification identified by ANTHC.
PREFERRED EDUCATION QUALIFICATION
Associates' degree in healthcare administration, environmental services, safety, hospitality, business or related field. Progressively responsible professional work experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for college education.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION
Non - supervisory - four (4) years of work experience.

Must have a clean driving record as defined by ANTHC's insurance requirements.
