This role is to support the Unit Head by directing the primary functions of the Commercial Tellers in the unit. Salary: $25.15/hour minimum. Job/salary offer would be commensurate with job level and experience. Schedule: Monday-Friday.
May direct the primary functions of the Commercial Tellers assigned to the Central Vault Unit and assist the Unit Head by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
May supervise employees. In the supervisory role, carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Trains employees: plans, assigns, and directs work; addresses complaints; resolves problems; and may be requested to make hiring, evaluating, and terminating recommendations regarding employees.
Education and/or Experience Minimum: Three years accounting, bookkeeping, banking, office management, or related experience, or equivalent combination of education/training and experience with two years heavy cash handling experience.
Preferred Knowledge of First National Bank Alaska's bank operations and products; teller line experience. Experience in a lead or supervisory capacity.
Other Skills and Abilities Word processing, spreadsheet and Outlook software experience required. Ability to keyboard 35 wpm and operate a 10-key calculator by sight required.
Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and government regulations. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to answer questions and speak effectively with customers, managers and employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
Reasoning Skills Ability to apply common sense understanding while carrying out written, oral, or diagram instructions; and to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
