Whether it's celebrating a birthday, anniversary, or “just because”, vacationers want to take home souvenirs that bring them back to an amazing experience or location. Or perhaps they are bringing a part of their experience home to share with others. Our retail locations help make this possible. The Retail Inventory Assistant inventories these keepsakes and ensures they are delivered to each retail location for the guests to discover and fall in love with.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists in the shipping and receiving of products in the retail warehouse.
- Prepares orders by pulling items from the warehouse and delivering them to retail locations.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet areas, and workstations organized according to company guidelines.
- Inventory and warehouse management (receiving, ticketing, and distributing).
- Supervise periodic physical inventories as well as potential count discrepancies.
- Maintain records, reports, logs, and files in accordance with company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Keep work areas organized, clean, and sanitized.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must pass a pre-employment background check.
- Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing, where available.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States. Holland America-Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-2B status).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs./23kg.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work, and maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals.
- Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures, and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.
- Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
