Essential Functions and Scope of Responsibilities/Job Duties: The Consumer Directed PCA will perform personal care services to senior and disabled adults in their personal residence. Specific tasks are approved for individual consumers. These tasks can include, but are not limited to the following approved hands on care:
Education Requirements: High School Diploma or GED Specific training courses in this field: CPR/First Aid upon request of recipient
Qualifications and/or Experiences: Must be 18 years of age Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Must be free of communicable diseases Must be able to pass a federal background check Must possess the ability to communicate with the recipients to whom they are assigned and with the supervisor Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Authority: Directed daily supervision is given by recipient or the personal representative and periodic supervision from the PCA supervising nurse and overall supervision by Easterseals Director of PCA Services
